Section 04 // Clean Reconstruction
Narrative Reconstruction
"When an account is loaded with judgment, we strip the paint to see the raw structural frame beneath."
Core Skill: Filtering Out Loaded Modifiers
Once you can read structurally and verify primary sources, the final skill is **reconstruction**. This means taking a highly biased, emotionally charged statement and translating it into a neutral, balanced public record.
Highly biased writing relies on **loaded modifiers** (adjectives and adverbs like *lazy, disastrous, sabotaged, magnificent*) to tell you how to feel about an event rather than letting the documented evidence speak for itself.
Interactive Lab: Filter Out the Loaded Modifiers
Click the highlighted modifiers to inspect and remove them from the statement:
"The school district enacted a
disastrous
program that
recklessly
altered our local student garden initiative."
